Later Disgraced, but Quite Influential in the Christian Faith Earlier in Their Careers.

Throughout Scripture, it is evident that God accomplishes His purposes through fallible, even deeply flawed, people, demonstrating that His power is made perfect in human weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). King David, called “a man after God’s own heart,” committed grievous sins but was still used by God to lead Israel and to pen much of the Psalms (Acts 13:22; Psalm 51). From David to Peter to Paul, history shows that the proliferation of Christianity has often come through imperfect vessels. These biblical accounts remind us that spiritual leaders are frequent targets of Satanic attack because of the threat they pose to the enemy’s kingdom on earth (Ephesians 6:12). When leaders like David or even contemporary figures stumble, it is not an endorsement of their failure, but rather a call to focus on God’s redemptive power and to recognize the spiritual warfare that surrounds God’s work. God’s glory shines brightest when He redeems and uses fallible men for His eternal purposes
